Dr J. S. Khuraijam is a cycad biologist and plant conservationist at CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. Besides cycad taxonomy, he has contributed in the taxonomic studies of Indian conifers, Orchidaceae and Apocynaceae. He is actively involved in the conservation of threatened species and native ornamental plants of India. He has published more than 60 papers on plant taxonomy and biodiversity conservation. Dr Khuraijam did his PhD in Botany from GGS Indraprastha University,
